It was great to be back in your community, there was lots of businesses involved in sponsoring,
and volunteering. It was great to see how many businesses participated in the contestant poker
game, and our contestants loved getting out and going to all of the businesses.

The Contestants
Everyones commitment to be involved in a great production was obvious to me. You all tried
your guts out and were ready to compete when called on. We implemented a few changes this
year and we thank you for not questioning them and rolling with them. Thank you!
Your Directors
This finals would not be where it is today without the dedication of you and previous years
boards. The board has huge shoes to fill from the years before us. I feel I put a lot on our
directors this year and never once did anyone say no when asked to step up or step in. Thank
you!
I know I am missing lots of people in this letter from score runners, calf untyers, neck rope
tyers, gate openers, and if I did please know we appreciate you all.
The Payout!
$147 000.00!! in cash paid out over 5 performances and average payout. Plus on top of that
saddles for EVERY Champion and many other prizes awarded.
My first year as President has been eye opening and a big learning curve. With the board we
have I feel we can continue to strive to be bigger and better every year. I’ve been involved in
competing or helping at this finals for a lot of years and I feel because of all these people listed
above it was one of the best I can remember!
